Yes, Star are committed to supporting independent schools. We are aware of the significant financial challenges faced by Muslim schools. Our services are amongst the cheapest available. We can offer monthly (pay as you go) packages and will create bespoke packages which are affordable for your school.
The services on the website are the most requested. With a team of experts, we can offer a ray of additional services, please get in touch with the team to discuss your requirements.
We are currently based in the north; however, we have hubs set up in the midlands and the South. We are continuing to expand into other areas and may still be able to support you if you are located outside these areas.
Star is aware of the challenges many Islamic schools face when recruiting new headteachers, resulting in inexperienced headteachers being appointed. We are on hand to support them for the first three months.
We aim to support them with audits, developing systems, school development plan while upskilling them on their journey to becoming an outstanding headteacher.
RESOURCES
Frequently Asked Questions
The curriculum developed along with the resources has been developed by subject experts over time. However, we would work with schools wherever possible to use them as a starting point and adapt them to align with your respective school vision and ethos.
The curriculum includes:
- A sequenced curriculum linked to the national curriculum developed by experts.
- PowerPoints for most of the subjects. Most PowerPoints are differentiated and accessible for all learners.
- Our experts will also advise you on how to make the curriculum part of a more ambitious curriculum with links to enrichment, SMSC, British values, literacy and reading across your school.
The Islamic curriculum has been developed over a two-year period and is linked to the Hanafi Fiqh with some links to the other schools of thought. The curriculum has 9 levels and runs from year 1 to year 9. The curriculum is accompanied by interactive resources. Pupil books are also available at an additional cost of £2.50 per books.
Though this is a service we can provide upon request, it is not part of the curriculum package.
INADEQUATE SCHOOLS

No, you will not be able to become a member until your school attains a minimum of requires improvement.
The inadequate school package will provide your schools with the tools and support to achieve your targets. Once you are no longer inadequate your first-year membership will be half price.
Payment for the inadequate package can be made quarterly. We also will have an external funding charity hub to apply to for funding in 2024.
Once the audit has been carried out and an action plan created, the consultant will discuss the number of visits required.
The designated consultant will support you to prepare for the inspection. Support during the inspection will be an additional cost.
MEMBERSHIP
Frequently Asked Questions
We would prefer you to become a member at the start of the new academic year to benefit from all the membership features. However, you can join at anytime of the year and any outstanding membership features would be carried forward to the new academic year.
Payments will be expected over two instalments. Special consideration will be given to schools to spread the payment in exceptional circumstances.
A consultant will spend a day with the leaders exploring most recent Ofsted report and evidencing the ISS (only when the last inspection took place over 6 months ago). There will also be learning walks and discussions around current service providers, prices and renewal dates for gas, electric, insurance etc.
Their will be a £150 administration price to cover the cost of the initial audit and action plan. This will not be charged if school has had recent Ofsted inspection (within 3 months) and attained a minimum ‘Good’.
Having spoken to many Islamic schools there have been many requests for PowerPoints and resources linked to the AMS RSE curriculum. AMS have informed us that they don’t have any current plans to create them. We have therefore invested in a team of experts who have created them to benefit Islamic Schools.
Star have partnered with Get Set Academy who have provided exclusive access to their LMS. This has up to 200 accredited courses. Once you become members and you select the courses you require, the school will be provided with a login. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate.
Star have created a portal area for members. This will be specific to your school’s experience and journey.
An annual planner will be uploaded to the main website at the start of the academic year with key dates. Furthermore, your portal areas will also provide notification of upcoming events.
Each member school will have the one per term. It is for the school to determine when to use the hour. This will usually be on the phone or remotely.
During the audit we will collect data on your current suppliers, prices, and renewal date. Before the renewal date the operations team will be in touch with new prices. Once agreed they will connect you with the relevant provider to complete the process.
